You can learn to be a better communicator. The
ability to communicate well in English is one of
the most important keys to success.
I'm patient, insightful, and experienced and I love
teaching successful communication skills to others.
To this end I work with a select number of students,
helping them improve their ability to communicate
in writing - for english and other academic subjects as
well as for creative or business writing. My private
tutoring sessions are all one-on-one with the student.
I have a Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of
Nevada - Reno, with a focus on attitudes, communication
and persuasion. After completing a 20 year phase of my
career doing applied research in social psychology, I'm now
devoting my energy to improving student performance,
with excellence as the goal.
My rate for tutoring students is $45 per hour, with a
ten percent discount for advance payment of 10 or more
hours. I work with students age 13 through graduate
school as well as life long learners who have specific
learning objectives.
